The Town of Lincoln recently earned national recognition for their commitment to providing high-quality drinking water. Lincoln was awarded the American Water Works Association’s (AWWA) Presidents Award at the association’s annual conference in Toronto.
This prestigious honour celebrates water utilities that demonstrate outstanding achievement in water treatment and distribution. Lincoln was specifically praised for their state-of-the-art water treatment plant that supplies the community with safe, clean drinking water daily.
As outlined in the town’s press release, Lincoln’s water treatment plant utilizes advanced technologies like membrane filtration and UV disinfection. This ensures all contaminants are removed before water reaches homes and businesses. Their treatment methods even exceed provincial safety regulations.
